Jess Shankleman is an award winning trainee journalist, who specialises in corporate social responsibility and renewable energy.
She currently reports for businessGreen, the leading news and analysis website for firms trying to cut their carbon footprint while still growing the bottom line. As well as writing stories, she presents videos and is a dab hand with the Flip cam.
She qualified from Cardiff University last year with a postgraduate diploma in newspaper journalism. While there, she won an NCTJ Top Scoop Award for Excellence in Journalism after she wrote a front page story for the South Wales Echo about the discovery of an unencrypted memory stick containing confidential child protection information.
She is an experienced theatre critic, having reviewed for ThreeWeeks at the Edinburgh Festival in 2006 and 2008 as well as for Viet Nam News in Hanoi. She has also written for national and local newspapers including The Daily Telegraph and The Yorkshire Post.
